The Pleroma Mission Prayer Letter , 2013/12

Dear prayer warriors,

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Debbie's sharing I have been here in Phnom Penh for the Lord for almost 4 years. I am so thankful especially in this holiday season. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men! (Luke 2:14)

From late October to November this year, I had the opportunity to travel along the West Coast and in Hong Kong to share the Pleroma Mission with churches and friends.  Despite the tight schedule, I still found time to reunion with my family members and supporting churches.  During these days, I experienced the love and encouragement from churches and friends.  I want to express my gratitude to the churches I have visited.

After Chandra Chap became the director for Pleroma Home for Girls Project, Debbie has to continue to take up the 2nd project – Pleroma School for Girls.  Debbie has to enter another cycle of registration, hiring, and another cycle of experiencing His provision as well.

For these 2 months, I can see that God has His own timing, and I just have to follow, like the Bible says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Debbie in HongkongThanks for the provision of our Lord, we have already paid off the land we purchased at New Phnom Penh, and we have started to have the site research, to see what classes we should offer in this community and also to plan for the building to meet the needs in that area.  Although there is a line-up of works, yet with your prayer and financial support, I believe it's not a difficult task.  As it is the will of God that we serve the unprivileged kids and provide for them Christian Education and fight the human trafficking issues in Cambodia.

For the satellite school in Bamtabong, the number of kids has already increased to more than 50.  The operation is very challenging. There are parents who are unwilling to pay for the tuition and there's not enough space for the classroom.  Pray that the students will have a learning heart and respect the teachers.

Prayer Items:

  1. Lately the weather in Phnom Penh is extremely “cold.” Pray that the staff and the girls will not be affected by the cold weather. Pray also for the political situation in Cambodia. Pray that the demonstration is peaceful.
  2. Thank God that we have short term mission team from Chinese Bible Missions Church from Los Angeles. They have conducted lots of training and activities for the girls and staff here in PHG.  Pray for the girls who have committed to the Lord during this loving season.

3.  Pray that God will provide the human resources we need, including the right and trustworthy construction company for the new campus, a social worker, a teacher and a care-giver.  May our God choose the right one/person for us.

4.  Pray for the faith and perseverance of  Debbie.  May God grant her wisdom and love, and faith to see the provision from above.

5.  Pray for the satellite school and pray for the physical and spiritual health of the staff there and also pray for the need of the new classroom.  After 3 months of school, they already run out of space.

Your Missionary,

Debbie
